These neodymium cube magnets are sintered from neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) alloy, achieving a 42 MGOe energy product. Each 12.7 mm (0.5") cube is uniformly coated with 0.3–0.6 mm of colored nylon or polypropylene polymer, providing resistance to corrosion, impacts, and moisture while enabling visual sorting. Multi-pole magnetization allows complex field configurations when assembled. The coating withstands 600+ hours of salt spray testing (ASTM B117) and reduces eddy currents in dynamic applications. With a surface field ≥3,800 Gauss and Curie temperature of 310°C, the magnets maintain stable performance below 80°C. The polymer layer mitigates brittleness, though abrupt collisions may cause chipping.
Education: Magnetic levitation experiments, physics demonstrations, and STEM kits.
Industrial: Fixture jigs, tooling alignment, and modular holding systems.
Prototyping: Robotics joints, sensor arrays, and modular construction sets.
Consumer: Refrigerator art displays, 3D puzzles, and craft projects.
Research: Magnetic field mapping and material testing.
To ensure safety during transportation and compliance with shipping regulations, all magnets are securely packed with a metal shielding layer inside the box. This prevents magnetic interference with surrounding items and protects the product from external damage.
Packaging: Carton, Wooden Box, or Customized.
Q1. Can cubes be stacked or arranged in specific patterns?
Yes. Multi-pole magnetization allows custom flux paths (e.g., Halbach arrays) for focused field strength.
Q2. Is the coating safe for children?
Yes—non-toxic polymer prevents skin contact with NdFeB. Supervise children <14 years due to ingestion/swallowing hazards.
Q3. What reduces pull force over time?
Exposure to >80°C, impacts, or corrosive chemicals. Store at <60°C with 5mm spacing between cubes.
The cube magnets are manufactured via powder metallurgy. NdFeB alloy is vacuum-melted, milled into micron-scale powder, and pressed in cubic molds under a 1.5 T aligning field. Sintering at 1,080–1,100°C forms dense blocks, which are annealed to enhance coercivity. Precision diamond grinding achieves ±0.1 mm dimensional accuracy. For coating, cubes undergo electrostatic pretreatment before immersion in fluidized polymer beds (nylon/PP at 200–230°C), building 0.3–0.6 mm layers. Colors are added during polymer compounding. After curing, magnets are multi-pole magnetized using pulsed fields >3 T. Each cube undergoes pull-force validation and coating adhesion tests before packing.
