Flat Voice Coil Actuator Introduction

Flat Voice Coil Actuator is a type of direct drive linear motor that operates on the principle of Lorentz force, which is the force exerted by a magnetic field on a current-carrying conductor. Unlike traditional cylindrical voice coil actuators, FVCAs have a flat or planar design, which can offer unique advantages in terms of form factor and application. This design allows for a compact footprint, making it suitable for applications where space is limited or where a flat motion profile is required. Compared with the rectangular Voice Coil Motor, Flat Voice Coil Actuator has a relatively shorter stroke in the same volume, but it has a lower height, a thrust of 500N, and a stroke of 25mm.
