This neodymium ring magnet is sintered from NdFeB alloy (42 MGOe) with a 25.4 mm outer diameter and 6.35 mm inner diameter, optimized for #6 screw mounting. The 3.0 mm thickness includes an 82° precision-countersunk recess, enabling flush screw installation. A 0.4 mm nylon/polypropylene coating provides impact resistance, electrical insulation, and protection against humidity and chemicals, surpassing 600 hours in salt spray tests (ASTM B117). Axial magnetization generates a ≥5.8 kg pull force on steel surfaces, while the polymer layer dampens vibrations and prevents galvanic corrosion when contacting dissimilar metals. Thermal stability is maintained up to 80°C.
Industrial Mounting: Secure sensors, signs, and tool holders to ferrous surfaces.
Automotive: Trim panel retention, wire harness clips, and access panel fasteners.
Retail Displays: Modular product showcases and magnetic poster systems.
Furniture: Hidden cabinet closures and adjustable shelving supports.
Renewable Energy: Mounting brackets for solar panel components.
To ensure safety during transportation and compliance with shipping regulations, all magnets are securely packed with a metal shielding layer inside the box. This prevents magnetic interference with surrounding items and protects the product from external damage.
Packaging: Carton, Wooden Box, or Customized.
Q1. What torque can the #6 screw hole withstand?
Max. 0.6 N·m. Exceeding this may crack the magnet. Use washers and avoid overtightening.
Q2. Is the coating resistant to oils/solvents?
Yes, withstands IPA, acetone, and light oils. Avoid prolonged exposure to strong acids (>pH 3).
Q3. Can magnets be stacked for more strength?
Limited, stacking concentrates flux but increases thickness. Use single magnets with steel backplates instead.
Countersunk ring magnets are produced by compacting NdFeB powder in ring-shaped dies under a 2.0 T magnetic field. Sintering at 1,080°C fuses particles into dense blanks. Diamond tools machine the 82° countersink and bore to ±0.05 mm tolerance. Polymer coating is applied via fluidized bed deposition: preheated magnets are immersed in thermoplastic powder (nylon/PP), then cured at 180–200°C to form a 0.4 mm uniform layer. After axial magnetization in a 3.2 T pulsed field, each unit undergoes pull-force validation and screw-fit testing with #6 stainless steel screws.
