The Information Needed for the Customization of Magnets

In order for us to effectively provide information and save your time, when you send customized inquiries, it is advisable that you provide the following information: 1.Material The magnet materials we offer include NdFeB, SmCo, Ferrite, Alnico, flexible magnets and so on. Please first confirm what kind of materials you need.

2.Grade Different magnets have many different specifications. For products of different grade, their operating temperature and magnetic performance vary greatly. Providing a valid quote requires a definitive grade. 3.Magnetized direction Radial or axial. Even for products that don’t need to be magnetized, it is necessary to determine the direction of magnetization. 4.Size The conventional shape of magnet is block and disc (or rod), and arc and ring (or tube). For the shape of block, data about length, width and height need to be provided. For the shape of disc (rod), data about diameter and length need to be provided. For the shape of arc, data about outer diameter, inner diameter, length and angle need to be provided. For the shape of ring (tube), data about outer diameter, inner diameter and length need to be provided. Certainly, customized shape is possible. In this case, you need to provide drawings. 5.Tolerance Our conventional tolerance is - /+ 0.004''. Tighter tolerance is possible. In this case, you need to confirm a value, and our engineers will confirm the feasibility according to the actual size of the product.

6.Planting What is the type of the coating? Conventionally, NdFeB magnets need to be coated. Usually, it’s the Ni-Cu-Ni coating. Other coatings such as Zn, Epoxy, gold are also available. After the coating, rubber or PTFE protection can be added to the magnet. All these are based on your practical application. Generally speaking, magnets made of other materials don't need to be coated. If you need, we can also provide you with it. 7.Quantity We must have a quantity to make a valid quote because our price changes with the changes in quantity. The higher the quantity, the lower our cost, so you’ll get a better price from us. Lower quantity not only drives up the cost, we also need to evaluate whether it meets our MOQ. 8.Special requirement Please inform us of any special requirements. We will evaluate the feasibility.
